Anna Kemp grew up in a street with a gang of kids and spent her childhood sticker-swapping, playing pac-man and co-ordinating BMX displays. She was a bit of a late reader but now reads a lot in her job at Oxford University where she works on contemporary French literature. She both picture books and middle-grade fiction. Her books have been nominated for a number of prizes including the Booktrust Early Years Award (2010), The Roald Dahl Funny Prize (2010, 2012), The Waterstones Children's Book Prize (2011, 2013), Oscar's Book Prize (2015), and The Dundee Picture Book Award (2018).

Sara Ogilvie is an award-winning illustrator. She was born in Edinburgh in 1971 and now lives in Newcastle upon Tyne. Sara's many picture books include The Detective Dog by Julia Donaldson, the Worst Princess by Anna Kemp, and Izzy Gizmo by Pip Jones. Her middle grade fiction includes Phil Earle's Demolition Dad (and others in the Storey Street series).
