We offer a flat rate shipping fee of $12 anywhere in Australia.

Absolutely. We offer free local pickup at 22-36 Mountain St, Ultimo, 3 minutes walk from Broadway Shopping Centre, Monday-Thursday between 10am-4pm. Orders are usually ready for pickup within 2-4 days. If those times don't work, please contact Emily at hello@littlemodernreader.com.au to arrange another time.

We are unable to accomodate returns or refunds if you change your mind or find the book cheaper elsewhere. However if there is an issue with your order please email us right away and we will see how we can help.

Gift cards are valid for 3 years from date of purchase.

Once you purchase the card online, you will be sent an email with a code. Use the gift card code when you are checking out.

No worries! All gift card purchases are recorded, so just send us an email and we'll resend your code.

All books offered at Little Modern Reader are preloved unless otherwise stated, so the condition varies from good to excellent. 

We do! If you have picture books that you need to clear out or your kids have outgrown, please get in touch via email with details of your donation. Please read the condition guide outlined on our Donation page as well as take a look at our current collection to see if your books may be suitable for our store. 

By buying secondhand, you are saving books from landfill, reducing your carbon footprint by buying from existing resources, and cutting down the use of paper and the chemicals and energy used to produce a new book.

We also ship via a carbon-neutral shipping service and use a variety of sustainable packing for your orders. Where we can, we reuse existing packaging to give these materials a longer life by reusing them in turn. Find out more about our shipping + packaging here.
