First Best Friends by Margaret Wild

Illustrated by Donna Rawlins

Tom Timothy King and Jasmine lived next door to each other. They were best friends. Tom Timothy King was small and noisy and knew everything. Jasmine was tall and quiet and did a lot of thinking. On the way to school on their very first day, Jasmine discovered that Tom Timothy King didn't really know everything...

First Best Friends is one of four picture storybooks developed and produced by Queensland Transport to support their early childhood road safety education program.

The stories address the road safety issues that present the greatest dangers for young children in traffic.
