Katie Cotton studied English at Oxford University and worked in education before becoming a Junior Editor at Templar Publishing.

A graduate in illustration from the London College of Printing, Alison Jay has been illustrating children's books for a number of years. To create her unique style, she uses alkyd oil paint on paper with a crackling varnish, which gives her illustrations an antique, nostalgic quality. She is the critically acclaimed illustrator of many books for children, including Christmas Time, Welcome to the Zoo and Nursery Rhyme Rainbow. Alison lives and works in London, England.
