Winnie-the-Pooh's friends from the Hundred Acre Wood are all to be found in this collection of stories, verse and Pooh's favourite hums. Piglet finds it hard to be brave because he is only a Very Small Animal. Rabbit plans to trick Kanga and capture Baby Roo. Eyesore, the old grey donkey, gets two special presents for his birthday and Bouncy Tigger cannot find any breakfast. Owl is very wise about the weather and always ready to help Christopher Robin, while Pooh, the endearing Bear of Very Little Brain, has a hum for all his friends.

A.A. Milne was born in London in 1882 and became a successful playwright and poet. He based Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet and friends on the real nursery toys of his son Christopher Robin and published the first of their adventures in 1926. Since then, Pooh has become a world-famous bear, and Milne’s stories have been translated into sixty-two languages.
